Hands-On Solutions for Incarceration Challenges

Youthturns Consulting offers hands on assessment of programs and solutions to problematic areas within those programs.

Our ultimate goal is to provide State-wide assessments that evaluate the needs of children and families with parents and family members incarcerated. We make recommendations to key organizational stakeholders to assist in strengthening the families and preparing the children to be successful in school and life.

In addition to hands-on consulting for nonprofits, educators and organizations across the country, we also:

  • Speak at colleges, universities, events, retreats, etc. to move the conversation forward about the needs of family and children of the incarcerated.
  • Work with faith-based organizations to assit in assessing and setting up programs for them to run in their own communities.
  • Offer gang intervention and re-entry consulting, providing recommendations for communities so that they can provide services to their communities in a safe and effective way while reaching out to at-risk youth.
  • “Parlor Speak,” where Andy comes to your house and speaks with your neighbors and friends. You plan the parlor party and Andy will be there with guitar in hand to share his personal stories and play original songs – while conveying the need for sane criminal justice and prison policies to ensure the children of the incarcerated don’t follow their parents into prison.
