How far from Nashville Tennessee is YouthTurns willing to send Andy to speak and participate in events?

Andy will travel to any place in the U.S., barring unforeseen traveling constraints.

Can the children of incarcerated people really be successful and stay out of gangs and jail?

Studies have shown that as little as 3 college credits can drastically increase likelihood that children of the incarcerated will stay out of prison.

How can you help our non-profit serve our families and children better?

First, we will provide an assessment of your program to determine risk factors and current challenges/climate. After the assessment, we would then know how to best develop a plan to empower your organization’s efforts.

Does YouthTurns send Andy to schools and universities to speak?

Yes we do. Contact your campus event coordinators and ask that Andy be included in upcoming programs.

How many people in the US have been affected by the criminal justice system?

Well there are 65 million people right now in prisons, jails, on probation or parole. About one-in-four of Americans, and that’s not counting their families and friends – potentially the largest voting block the USA has ever seen.

Can ex-prisoners vote?

Some can, but tt depends on the State and the laws therein. There is a movement to give back voting rights to ex-prisoners. Who knows, if that happens, we may one day even see an ex-prisoner elected president.
